LA City Budget Day – June 24

This Saturday, June 24th is Budget Day at LA City Hall from 7:30am – 12:30pm! Open to all and it’s free to sign up. Breakfast and parking will be provided, simply register to be included. Get more details and register here.

Fourth of July Safety Info from LA Firefighters at the Blue Tent – June 25

Stop by the Blue Tent at the Mar Vista Farmers’ Market this Sunday between 9am and 11:30am and chat with Assistant Chief Armando Hogan of the Los Angeles Fire Department. He’ll be there to discuss illegal fireworks and other topics of interest, especially about keeping you and your family safe this 4th of July. And we’re hoping Fire Engine 62 will be there, too! Fingers crossed! The Blue Tent is at the Mar Vista Farmers’ Market on the NW corner of Pacific and Grand View.

Community Event: Venice-Mark Twain Slide Show – June 26

Join LAPD Senior Lead Officer Adrian Acosta and Mark Twain Teacher(s) for a slide show and discussion of vandalism, graffiti, hate crimes, traffic and homelessness. Event will take place Monday, June 26th at Penmar Park.
