Recent Incidents Report as of August 15, 2017

The school year is starting, please take care…more traffic especially around schools, distracted drivers and children crossing the street.

There has been an increase in stolen motorcycles, especially in Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, and Venice.  Please try to park you motorcycles in a garage or behind a fence or another vehicles.  LOCK YOUR VEHICLE!  Consider installing a tracking device.

Burglaries continue, with 11 out of the last 13 due to unlocked doors or windows.  I know it is hot but, please lock up when you leave home.  Unlocked side gates provide a way for burglars to enter your backyard to work on doors/windows without being seen. There is some progress, three persons were arrested for a knock-knock burglary in the Palms area (3 males with skateboards).

Last week at least three houses on Colby were subjected to “prank” ringing of doorbell, all after 11 pm.  A young, male, Caucasian?, was seen on the Ring Door Bell video ringing the bell, then running away to a waiting car.
